Ricky Burkett Obituary

Mr. Ricky Martin Burkett, age 39, of Vidalia, died Tuesday, April 5, 2022. He was a native of Toombs County, attended Vidalia Comprehensive High School and lived in Vidalia most of his life. He was a pipefitter, working with Saks Plumbing and Heating Corporation and also with Wild Boar Plumbing. He enjoyed listening to music, composing music and poetic lyrics, the outdoors, being with people and spending time with his sons.

His family includes two sons, Gabriel L. Burkett of Vidalia and Carson J. Burkett of Rincon; his mother, Cally Brantley Kelley and husband Todd of Soperton, his father, Ricky Burkett of Tarrytown; maternal grandfather, James Brantley and wife Louise of Vidalia; two brothers, Ross L. Burkett of Soperton and Max Burkett of Reidsville; two sisters, Carolyn Harden of Vidalia and Whitney Burkett of Reidsville; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
