A celebration of Reese's life will be Thursday, March 20, 2025, at 12:00 noon at Liberty Baptist Church in Lyons with Pastor Michael Plowman officiating.
The family will receive friends at Liberty Baptist Church on Thursday morning from 9:00 until just prior to the service.
In honor of Reese Carter Hughes, the family kindly asks that, instead of flowers, you donate a new teddy bear to help bring comfort to children in need. Inspired by Kada’s Promise— a foundation founded by a young woman who found strength in small acts of kindness during a difficult childhood—we hope these bears will provide love, safety, and hope to others. Each bear given is a beautiful tribute to Reese’s bright spirit and the lasting impact of her memory. Bears can be dropped off at Vidalia Children’s Center located inside the Wellness Center or at Paul Thigpen Chevrolet.
Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Steven M. Hughes or Miki D. Hughes for Emry Ann Powell, Micah Rylan Powell and Bodhi Lee Hughes, 222 Mixon Lane, Vidalia, GA 30474.
Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home of Vidalia is in charge of arrangements.
