Randell Barwick

Mr. Randell Barwick, age 59, of Vidalia, died Thursday, November 11, 2021, at the Community Hospice House in Vidalia after an extended illness.  He was a lifelong resident of Toombs County, and he was an automotive and heavy equipment mechanic, and was a farmer.  He was Baptist by faith.  He enjoyed dirt track racing all over the southeast, playing pool, karaoke, and was a good joke teller.  He is preceded in death by twin sons, Chris and Craig Barwick; and parents, Willie Jerome Barwick, Georgia Mae Barwick,  Martha Sue Wood Beck and Bryson Beck. 

His family includes five children, Joey Barwick of Vidalia, Christy Bohannon and husband Chris of Hazlehurst, Mitchell Barwick and fiancé Autumn Hutley of Mt. Vernon, Blake Braswell of Statesboro, and Cheyenne Floyd and husband Matthew of Hazlehurst; five siblings, Ronald Barwick and wife Patti of Swainsboro, Donald Barwick and wife Hope of Dublin, Mary Flowers and husband Glenn of Vidalia, Dale Barwick and wife Bernadine of Lyons, and David Wood of Dublin; his best friend and caregiver, Steve Strickland and wife Lisa of Lyons; six grandchildren, a grandchild to be born soon, and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside funeral service will be Monday, November 15th, at 12:30 p.m. in Hughes Family Cemetery in Montgomery County with Pastor Joe Phillips officiating. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday morning from 10:00 until 12:00 noon.
