Mr. Quinn Williamson, age 67, of the Kibbee Community, died Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at Memorial Health Meadows Hospital in Vidalia after an extended illness. Quinn was born in Savannah on April 21, 1958, as a child, he moved to Toombs County, and he has lived in Montgomery County for the past twenty-five years. He was a 1976 graduate of Vidalia High School, and he attended East Georgia State College in Swainsboro, studying Criminal Justice. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He worked as an EMT and later as a paramedic for twenty-eight years and most of those years with Heartland EMS in Dublin. He was a firefighter with Vidalia Fire Department for fifteen years, a volunteer with Higgston Fire Department, served as a Montgomery County and Wheeler County Deputy Sheriff, and a police officer in Alamo. He was Baptist by faith, and he enjoyed buying and working on Dodge muscle cars. He is preceded in death by his father, Douglas Cecil “Doug” Williamson and mother, Becky Dees Vaughn; and stepfather, Jack Vaughn.
His family includes one son, Dakota C. Williamson; one stepson, Zachary Brantley and wife Cherish and their four children; former wife, Missi Nobles and husband Randy, all of Kibbee; two sisters, Charisse Williamson of Vidalia, and Misty Schmid and husband Jeremy of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside funeral service will be Friday, July 18th, 2025, at 3:00 at Pine Crest Cemetery with Pastor Reece Mincey officiating, military honors will follow by the U.S. Navy.
The family will receive friends at the cemetery immediately following the service.
