Mr. Preston Foskey, age 79, of Uvalda, went to be with Lord on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at Select Specialty Hospital in Augusta following an extended illness. He was a native of Montgomery County and lived there and Toombs County all of his life. He was a 1964 graduate of Montgomery County High School where he played football and attended Brewton-Parker College. He was a self-employed carpenter and retired from Georgia Department of Corrections as maintenance supervisor at Rogers State Prison in Reidsville. He was a member and past Master of Milliken Creek Masonic Lodge #302 and was currently serving as treasurer. He attended Smyrna Church and was Vice-President of East Side Fishing Club in McIntosh County. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gospel sings, and had attended countless Bluegrass Music festivals. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bernard Preston Foskey and Carolyn Williams Foskey; and a niece, Angela Foskey Hart.
He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-nine years, Judy Mincey Foskey of Uvalda; one son, Lee Foskey and wife Gina of Townsend; three grandchildren, Darwin Foskey and wife Jessie of Townsend, Jamie Coulliette and husband Matthew of Perry, Florida, and Amanda Deverger and husband John Russell of Townsend; four great-grandchildren, Ellie May Foskey, Mattison Coulliette, Aubrie Coulliette, and Kayden Coulliette; two brothers, Randal Foskey and wife Lynda and Hal Foskey and wife Darlene, all of Alston; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The funeral service will be Monday, August 11th, at 12:00 noon, in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with his nephew, Pastor Reece Mincey and Pastor Melvin Kramer officiating. Interment will follow at Smyrna Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday morning from 10:00 until just prior to the service.
