Paula Savage Obituary

Paula Redfern Savage, age 73, of Santa Claus, died Thursday, March 19, 2026, at her home after a lengthy illness. She was born on September 8, 1952 in Fayetteville, North Carolina to the late Paul Redfern and Mary Sue Lamb Redfern. Her father was serving in Army and the family lived in several places in the country. She lived in Christmas, Florida for several years before moving to Orlando, Florida and graduated there from Colonial High School in 1971. She later lived in Norfolk, Virginia for ten years and has lived in Lyons since 1993. She was a baby sitter for dozens of children in Toombs County and was affectionately known as “Nana Paula”. She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church in Lyons, and she enjoyed crafting and reading.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Lamar Savage.

She is survived by three daughters, Kimberly McKim and Kasey Scott of Daytona, Florida, and Samantha Savage of Santa Claus; two sisters, Pat Varner of Orlando, Florida and Terry Meredith and husband Bruce of Titusville, Florida; seven grandchildren, Ambree McKim, Lexy Rentz, Pearl Scott, Shawnie Scott, Adrian Scott, Jackson Graham, and Skylar Graham; three great-grandchildren, Braxton, Becklyn, and Ivey; and several nieces and nephews.   

The funeral service will be held on Monday, March 23rd, 2026, at 3:00 in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Jimmy Brown officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday afternoon from 1:00 until just prior to the service.
