Mr. Paul Manning Temples, age 69, of Vidalia, died Saturday, July 6, 2024, at Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin, after a brief illness. He was born in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, briefly lived in Macon, and lived in Vidalia most of his life. He was a 1973 graduate of Vidalia High School and attended Georgia Southern in Statesboro. He was Stock Manager at TG&Y Department Store in Vidalia for twenty years, worked many years with Southland Cable in Vidalia, and worked with a contractor as a cable locator. He attended Vidalia Old Line Primitive Baptist Church. Paul enjoyed antiquing, camping, restoring antiques, fishing, yard work, and watching the Atlanta Braves, Georgia Bulldogs, wrestling, and NASCAR. He is preceded in death by his parents, Elder Manning Temples and Beatrice Taylor Temples; and a sister and brother-in-law, Myra Temples Soles and husband, Donnie Soles.
His family includes his wife of forty years, Linda A. Temples of Vidalia; three children, Michelle Temples Lord and husband Clint of Dublin, Brandy Temples Morris and husband Jason of Williamston, South Carolina, and Brent Temples and wife Janet of Vidalia; one sister, Barbara Temples Hall and husband Garry of Danville; six grandchildren, Meredith Horne, Audrey Lord, Cade Morris, Eli Morris, Rebekah Lord, and Corbin Morris; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
The funeral service will be Tuesday afternoon, July 9th, at 2:00 in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Elder Garry Hall officiating. Burial will follow at Old Canoochee Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Emanuel County.
