Mr. Paul Dixon Morris, age 59, of Vidalia, died Sunday, March 22, 2026, at his home following an extended illness. He was a native of Toombs County, but moved to Bradenton, Florida as a child. He was a 1984 graduate of Southeast High School in Bradenton. Paul was a cable splicer and contactor, working with several companies all over the country, before eventually returning to Toombs County in 2006. He enjoyed gardening, canning, fishing, and hunting. He is preceded in death by his mother, Edna Patrick Morris.
He is survived by his father, Howard T. “Shorty” Morris of Vidalia; one brother, Joe H. Morris and wife Pati of Wesley Chapel, Florida; one niece, Aimee Morris of Seattle, Washington; two nephews, Patrick Morris and wife Emalee of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Sam Morris of Wesley Chapel.
A celebration of life is planned for May.
