Patricia Ann “Pat” Williams, age 72, of Vidalia, died Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at her home after a sudden illness. The Toombs County native was a 1971 graduate of Vidalia High School, earning an associate degree from Brewton-Parker College and a bachelor’s degree in Education from Mercer University in Macon. She taught for several years at Toombs Central School in the elementary grades, later moving to Winter Haven, Florida where she lived fifteen years, working as a juvenile probation officer before returning to Toombs County in 2009. Pat enjoyed fresh and salt-water fishing, sewing, woodworking, and talking on the phone to family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her father, Elon Bronnon “E.B.” Williams and Christine Virginia Gillis Williams.
She is survived by two children, Tammy Underwood Carpenter and husband Jerry of Uvalda, and Timmy Underwood of Toombs Central; four grandchildren, Brandon Powell and Chase Kilgore, both of Uvalda, Dalton Underwood and fiancé Harley Kight of Tattnall County, and Harper Underwood of Toombs Central; four step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, Brylee Kilgore and Madelynn Kilgore; one sister, Phyllis Williams and Randy Fisher of Vidalia; two brothers, Bronnon Williams and Delone Williams, both of Vidalia; several nieces and nephews; and long-time childhood friend, Dell Strickland of Vidalia.
A memorial service will be held on Monday morning, December 29th, 2025, at 11:00 in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Mr. Roger Anderson officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday morning from 10:00 until just prior to the service.
