Patricia Crook Obituary

Patricia Madge Crook, age 94 of Ailey, died Sunday, May 25, 2025, at Meadows Park & Rehab in Vidalia following an extended illness.  She was born in Prescot Lancashire, England, grew up in Newton-le-Willows, England, and was a graduate of St. Helens High School in St. Helens, England.  She graduated from secretarial school and then joined the Women’s Royal Navy, known as the Wrens, serving for two years.  She met the father of her children in 1950, and she lived in England, Australia, and America before settling in Montgomery County in 1994.  She was a legal secretary in England and worked with Andrew & Threlkeld Attorneys at Law where she retired.  She was a member of Ailey Methodist Church where she kept the nursery, and she enjoyed knitting, reading, and crossword puzzles.  She forged her own path in life and never regretted one minute of it.  She is preceded in death by a son, Gary L. Bean; parents, Fredrick Stanley White and Stella Mosley White; brother, Terrance White; son-in-law, Michael Morris; daughter-in-law, Cathy Bean; and her favorite niece, Karen White.

Her family includes three children, Sheri Morris of Ailey, Michael Pringle and wife Josephine of Australia, and Stella-Jane Isherwood and husband Malcolm of England; daughter-in-law, Pat Pringle of Australia; eight grandchildren, Hugo Montenegro of Stuart, Florida, Josh Bean and wife Erin of Tifton, Mark Pringle, Scott Pringle, both of Australia, Shelley NeeSmith of Kibbee, Kari Barber and husband Alec of Glenwood, James Isherwood and Alexandra Isherwood, both of England; eleven great-grandchildren, Gavin, Mason, Mera, Cullen, Maddox, Angus, Kinley, Sophie, Max, Molly, and Keegan; and nieces.
