Mrs. Patty Cockman of Vidalia, age 73, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 16, 2024. She was a graduate of the Class of 1969 at Emanuel County Institute in Twin City. She worked in numerous financial institutions, was a talented seamstress, enjoyed working in her yards, and spending time with her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Rachel Green of Stillmore; brother, David Green of Stillmore; sister, Jeanette Lewis of Metter; mother-in-law, Jeanette Graham of Vidalia; and brother-in-law, Steve Cockman of Vidalia.
Her family includes her devoted husband, John Cockman; brothers Jerry Green (and wife Linda) of Calera AL and Tommy Green (and wife Sue) of Stillmore; sister Jane (and husband Jerry) Hardee of Collins; brother-in-law Eddie Cockman (and wife Judy) of Brooklet; sister-in-law Rita Rupert (and husband Billy) of Eatonton; and generations of nieces and nephews.
The family will have a private graveside service at a later date.
