Miss Patricia Ann Burns, age 74, of Vidalia, died Thursday, January 30, 2025, at Treutlen Health & Rehab in Soperton following an extended illness. She was a lifelong resident of Vidalia and attended Vidalia City Schools and Brown School for Girls in San Antonio, Texas. Patricia was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Vidalia now Cornerstone Church, Women of the Moose, and American Legion Women’s Auxiliary. Her parents, H.A. Burns, Jr. and Mary Ware Burns, precede her in death.
Patricia was a friend to all, and never forgot a face. She had an incredible memory, and kept up with all families, not just her own. She enjoyed reading, arts and crafts, and classic movies. She loved playing electronic games, working jigsaw puzzles, and completing word searches. She was an avid collector of bears, coins, and treasured trinkets.
Her family includes two brothers, Earl Burns and wife Sherry, and Jimmie Burns and wife Susan, all of Vidalia; and three nieces, Gina Burns Page of Vidalia, Rebecca Burns of Decatur, and Kathleen Burns of Atlanta.
The funeral service will be Saturday afternoon, February 1st, 2025 at 3:30 pm at the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend David Blalock officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday afternoon from 1:30 pm until just prior to the service
