Patricia Ann McCaw

Mrs. Patricia Ann McCaw, age 71, of Vidalia, died Sunday, July 20, 2025, at the Community Hospice House in Vidalia following an extended illness. She was born in St. Louis, Missouri, grew up in Granite City, Illinois and graduated high school there in 1971. She lived in Montgomery County most of her life. She was an Army veteran, and while serving she met her husband. She earned an Associate in Nursing from South Georgia State College in Douglas.  She was a registered nurse and nursed at several places during her career, including Careone Home Health Care in Vidalia. Patty enjoyed reading, fishing, and traveling.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Glen Herbert Wickam and Frances Bernice O’Shia Wickam; father-in-law and mother-in-law, John L. McCaw and Ethel Warnock McCaw; and sister-in-law, Tracey Lawrence.

She is survived by her devoted husband of forty-six years, John McCaw, Sr.; two children, Jennifer McCaw and John McCaw II, all of Vidalia; one sister, Ina Wallace and husband Brad of Missouri; sister-in-law, Elaine McCaw Fountain of Vidalia; and several nieces and nephews.

Following Patty’s wishes, there will be no service.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to Tommy and Shirley Strickland Cancer Center, 1 Meadows Pkwy, Vidalia, GA 30474.
