Mrs. Pamela Davis Adams, known as "Meme" to family and friends, age 72, of Vidalia, passed peacefully at home surrounded by family on Sunday, June 7, 2020, after an extended illness. She was born in Portsmouth, Virginia, moving to Jacksonville, Florida and graduated from Englewood High School in Jacksonville. She attended South Florida College in Tampa, Florida and was a graduate of South Georgia State College in Douglas. She was a licensed practical nurse, working at Meadows Regional Medical Center, Bethany Home, CareOne Home Health and retired from Telfair State Prison. She was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by parents William C Davis, Jr. and Dorothy Rice Davis; one sister Judith Davis Wilhelm; and two grandsons, Greg James and Joshua Rowland.
Mrs. Adams is survived by husband of forty-five years, Johnny Adams of Vidalia; three daughters Lynn Rowland of Lyons, Lynn Jackson of Vidalia, and Christy King of Blanchard, Oklahoma; one son Tim Adams and wife Sheila of Lyons; nine grandchildren, and seventeen great-grandchildren.
The family will plan a memorial service at a later date.
