Mr. Norman Ernest Maddox, age 53, of Uvalda, died Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at Memorial Health Meadows Hospital in Vidalia, after a brief illness. He was a native of Uvalda, living most of his life there and had his own lawn and grass business. In his spare time, he loved to fish and loved to spend time with his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Homer Eugene Maddox and Barbara Ann Herb Maddox; and brother, Joe Maddox.
His family includes his wife, Tracie Smith Maddox of Uvalda; three sons, Steven Maddox of Lake City, Florida, Jacob Maddox and Jace Allen Maddox, both of Uvalda; one daughter, Jasmine Maddox of Uvalda; two brothers, Roy Eugene “Figgiy” Perkins of Inverness, Florida and Roy Gene Maddox and wife Robin of Mt. Vernon; two sisters, Betty Jean Tharpe and husband Lodus of Mt. Vernon and Frances Ilene Crowe of Warner Robins; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 28th at Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.
The graveside funeral will be held on Thursday, August 29th at 10:00 Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Wheeler County.
