Mr. Nathan H. Sapp, age 56, of Lyons died October 28th, 2025, at East Georgia Medical Center in Statesboro, Georgia after a sudden illness.
Nathan enjoyed casting for bass in the late afternoon light and was known among those close to him for his uncanny ability to land 8 to 10-pound bass from local ponds – a feat that became his trademark and his joy.
He was a passionate Georgia football fan. Loved a good Georgia Bulldog football game, and knew all of the players and their statistics. Thanksgiving was his favorite time of year, especially for the big family meal of the turkey, dressing and sweet potato soufflé and the football conversation that came with it.
For years he owned and operated a trim carpentry business in the Atlanta area, where his craftsmanship earned the respect of many.
Nathan was preceded in death by his mother, Catha Spell Sapp.
He is survived by his daughter, Jessica Thomas of Florida; His father, Ronald Sapp of Lyons; Two brothers, Ron Sapp and wife Natalie of Johns Creek, Georgia and Ryan Sapp and wife Tonia of Jackson, Georgia; and many uncles, aunts, and nephews.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 8th, 2025, at Lakeview Memorial Gardens in Vidalia, Georgia with Pastor Michael Palma officiating. Family and friends are invited to attend to honor his life.
Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home of Vidalia is in charge of arrangements.
