Mrs. Montez Bramblett, age 99, of Vidalia, died Wednesday, May 6, 2020, in Spanish Oaks Retreat in Savannah, after an extended illness. She was a native of Dalton and lived there until moving to Vidalia in the late 1940’s. She was a homemaker and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Vidalia. She was in the Vidalia Bowling League where she was a local bowling champion, and she was in a sewing club. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Henry Bramblett, Jr.; two sons, Bruce Bramblett and Don Bramblett; and her parents, Samuel B. Calhoun, Sr. and Bertie Mae Elbridge Calhoun.
Mrs. Bramblett is survived by one granddaughter, Brooke Bramblett Lempesis and husband Andrew; three great-grandchildren, Audriana Lempesis, Braylee Hutchison and Bellamy Lempesis, all of Savannah.
A graveside funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 12th, at 3:00 p.m. in the Pinecrest Cemetery with Pastor Derward Poole officiating.
The family will receive friends at the cemetery on Tuesday afternoon from 2:00 until just prior to the service.
