Monique Judkins Allen was born in Brooklyn, New York to George L. Judkins and the late Elvina Lippmann. Monique was the eldest child and always presented herself as a leader and caregiver of others. Embracing the compassion of a caregiver made it difficult for her to say no. She would deny herself before others. She loved her family. She enjoyed crafts.
Monique’s early childhood was not the typical one, but she fought through it without giving up. Monique was persistent and strong willed. Douglas and Patricia Judkins of Raleigh, NC helped raised her, and Monique was always so very appreciative.
After high school, she joined the Army and served from 2001-2006 until she was medically discharged due to diabetes complications. Monique was a very hard worker and worked at Fort Belvoir in Virginia until her disabling medical crisis, December 2025.
God called Monique to eternal rest on April 20, 2026. She is now at peace and her soul is resting.
She leaves the following to cherish her memory, her beloved husband, Ronald O. Allen (married in 2003); daughter, Tileyah Allen; son, Ronaldo Allen, Jr., and one son who preceded her in death; father, George Judkins and Rosemond; siblings, Julia Judkins (Jihad Sindad), Georgette Williams, Jaki Judkins, Claudette Judkins, Miracle Judkins, Yaya Israel, Patricia/Najwa Judkins, Latoria Judkins; aunts, Rosemary Clark, Dr. Paula M. Ward (Phil); uncle, Leon Robinson (he and his late wife, Debbie also contributed in raising Monique); mother-in-law, Pastor Minnie Simmons (Dennis); brothers-in-law, Miguel Walker(Elaine) and Curtis Lawrence; close sister-in-law, Crystal Sherrell (Alston/Al); and a host of special nephews, nieces, cousins, dear loving friends and coworkers that were always there for Monique during her illness, who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.
“Monique is no longer here on Earth, but she will never be forgotten, and she will always be loved.”
