Mitchell Cook Obituary

Mr. Mitchell Cook, age 55, of the Gray’s Landing Community, died Tuesday, December 29, 2020, from injuries received in an accident near his home. He was a native of Toombs County and lived in Gray’s Landing most of his life. He attended Toombs Central School and was a roofer, carpenter and mechanic. He enjoyed fishing in the Altamaha River. He was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd E. Cook; and two brothers, Lewis Ritchell Cook and Lynn Cook.

Survivors include one son, Eric S. Cook; his mother, Linda Cook; one brother, Glenn Cook and wife Crystal, all of Gray’s Landing; two sisters, Lisa Yawn of Baxley, and Diane Cook of Hazlehurst; and two grandchildren, Michael Smith and Peyton Cook.

There will be no service.
