Minnie Frances Moore passed away, September 27, 2021, at the age of 92, at Kentwood Nursing Home in Augusta, Georgia. She was born in Thomasville, Georgia on October 26, 1928. She is preceded in death by her parents Mr. and Mrs. A.O. Murray of Willacoochee, Georgia; her husband, Bennie C. Moore of Vidalia; daughters, Bennie Jean Steele of Winona, Texas and Kathyrn Dianne Moore of Willacoochee; and a son, Bob Moore of Springboro, Oklahoma.
She is survived by one daughter, Trish Harris and husband Bill of Augusta; a brother, Fred Murray and wife Bonnie of Vidalia; six grandsons; fourteen great-grandkids; five great-great-grandkids; and many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
Mom enjoyed traveling the United States with my Dad while serving in the Air Force. They retired to Vidalia in 1972 to be near her brother. Mom retired from Oxford Distribution Center in 1987. She loved fishing, Jeopardy, and Wheel of Fortune. Her favorite hobby was just talking to other people. She never met a stranger. Mom has been a member of Smith Street Baptist Church since 1974.
Her pallbearers will be her grandsons and great-grandsons.
The family would like to thank Kentwood Nursing Home for all the care they gave her while she was there. I personally want to thank all the nurses, CNAs and staff. RIP Mom, We love you and you will be missed.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 10:00 until just prior to the service.
The funeral service will be Saturday, October 2nd, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Chester Proctor officiating. Burial will follow in Axson Cemetery in Atkinson County at 3:00 p.m..
