Mr. Michael Alexander, age 74, of Vidalia, died Sunday, January 11, 2026, at Memorial Health in Savannah after a brief illness. He was born in Savannah and lived the vast majority of his life in Toombs and Montgomery Counties. He was a 1969 graduate of Vidalia High School and was a member of Vidalia Cornerstone Church. While in high school, he worked summers with his father, J.C. Alexander Heating & Air, and in 1983, he and his brother, Mark, founded Alexander Brothers Heating & Air. Michael formerly served on the Board of Directors of HVAC at Southeastern Technical College and National Wildlife Turkey Federation in Vidalia, and currently was serving on the City of Vidalia Building Committee. He was a member of the Blundale Hunting Club in Emanuel County and spent lots of time at the deer camp on the Ogeechee River. He was a true outdoorsman, enjoying his lake life, fishing, hunting with his grandchildren and attending their events, and teaching family and friends how to water ski. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, and “PaPa” to his grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his father, J.C. Alexander; mother, Era Jean Gibbs Alexander; and grandson, Corey Williams.
Michael is survived by his wife of thirty-one years, Diane Alexander of Vidalia; three children, Todd Alexander and wife Andi of the McGregor Community, Ashley Williams and husband Chuck of Rentz, and Cody Alexander and wife Paige of Ailey; one sister, Phyllis Frederick and husband Brian; one brother, Mark Alexander and wife Jennifer, all of Vidalia; six grandchildren, Grace Alexander, Paxton Alexander, Chasyn Williams, Megan Williams, Briggs Alexander, and Collins Alexander; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday afternoon, January 14, 2026, at 3:00 at Vidalia Cornerstone Church with Pastor Jose Caraballo and Reverend David Blalock officiating. Interment will follow at Hardens Chapel Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Vidalia Cornerstone Church from 12:30 until just prior to the service.
Pallbearers are Bryson McDonald, Oren Dukes, Keith Williamson, Blake O’Neal, Jordan Kight, and Wil Ledford.
Honorary pallbearers are current and former employees of Alexander Brothers Heating & Air.
