Matheson C. Holley, age 25, of Vidalia, died Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at his home. He was born on October 19, 2000, and was a lifelong resident of Vidalia. He attended Vidalia High School and was a member of Beta Club and Science Club, later graduating from Coastal Plains High School in 2017 as valedictorian of his class and salutatorian of the region. Currently, Matheson was a student at Southeastern Technical College in Vidalia. He worked as a painter in his father’s business, Fine Line Painting. He attended Blockers Chapel Church. Matheson enjoyed reading his Bible, playing guitar and golf, journaling, four-wheelers, motorcycles, and spending time at the Ohoopee River.
He is survived by his son, Madden Holley; father, Matt C. Holley and wife Jennifer; mother, Melissa Hammock and husband Robert; three siblings, Jenna Holley, Mattix Holley, and Brennan Hammock; two stepsisters, Hannah Hardee and Riley Hammock; one stepbrother, Hunter Hammock; paternal grandparents, Debbie and Danny Holley, all of Vidalia; maternal grandparents, Pam Shepard of Kingston and Steve Lane and wife Diana of Baxley; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Monday evening, June 15th, 2026, at 6:00 with Pastor Efton Green and Pastor Steven Toole officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday afternoon from 4:00 until just prior to the memorial service.
Flowers are welcomed, or memorial donations in Matheson’s memory are suggested to Gardens of Hope RCO, 132 East Liberty St., Lyons, GA 30436.
