Mrs. Mary Nell Edenfield Mosley, born November 24, 1936, of Lyons, died Monday, May 1, 2023, at Community Hospice House in Vidalia after an extended illness. She was a native of Montgomery County and attended school in Kibbee, Georgia. She lived most of her life in Toombs County. She worked at Oxford Industries and retired after 36 years. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church of Lyons where she faithfully attended for more than 30 years before her health prevented her from going each Sunday morning. When her health kept her at home, she faithfully continued watching church services on television. Mary Nell enjoyed reading her Bible and the pages of her Bible show her faithful use. She loved her family and loved to go to the Smoky Mountains. She always told her family and friends, “I love you”. She is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Onie Clinton “Shug” Mosley; her father, Carl M. Edenfield; her mother, Cassie Lee Morris Fountain Edenfield; two sisters, Betty Sue Davis and Rosie Fleury; one sister-in-law, Ruby D. Mosley Fields; and two nieces, Vonda Kaye Meadows Bryan and Carol Ann Meadows Knight.
Mary Nell and Clint had no children, but she is survived by three sisters-in-law, Julia Mosley Dent of Macon, Jo Mosley Toole of Johnson Corner Community and Carolyn Mosley Meadows of Lyons; Brandon and Jessica Soles and several nieces and nephews of her family and Clint’s family; Dianne Dent Wilcox and husband Pastor Eddie Wilcox of Pitts, Darryl Dent and wife Kim of Macon, Eugene Toole and wife Linda of Lyons, Marie Toole Collins and Beth Toole, both of Johnson Corner, Johnny Fields and wife Jean and Sandy Fields, all of Lyons; and three special caregivers, Debra White and pretty little Chloe, Tina Bryant and Mary Edwards.
The funeral service will be Wednesday, May 3rd, at 12:00 noon in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Eddie Wilcox officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 until just prior to the service.
