Mrs. Mary Lou Jarriel Blaxton, age 77, of Vidalia, died Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at the Community Hospice House in Vidalia. She was a native of Tattnall County and later moved to Richmond Hill. She was a 1965 graduate of Richmond Hill High School and had lived in Toombs County since 1966. She worked at Oxford Industries in Vidalia for twenty-five years, and worked as office manager in the family business, K&M Sanitation & Rentals. She was a member of Vidalia Baptist Temple where she sang in the choir. She enjoyed word search puzzles, fishing, spending time with her family, and traveling with her husband all throughout in the United States and the world. She is preceded in death by an infant son, Kenneth M. Blaxton; parents, Ray Jarriel and Lutrell Harvey Jarriel; one brother, Robert Jarriel and three infant siblings.
Her family includes her devoted husband of fifty-seven years, M.T. Blaxton of Vidalia; two sons, Keith T. Blaxton of North Port, Alabama, and Kenton T. Blaxton and wife Shannon of Rincon; four grandchildren, Chelsea Page and husband Sean of Vidalia, Hannah Anderson and husband Matthew of Reidsville, Kagan Blaxton of Rincon, and Barry Blaxton and wife Brittany of Glennville; great-grandchildren, Gracelyn Blaxton, Abigail Blaxton, Ava Anderson, and Jackson Anderson, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be Friday morning, October 11th, at 11:00 in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Don Paradise officiating. Burial will follow at North Thompson Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday morning from 10:00 until just prior to the service.
