Mrs. Mary Alice Crowe, age 72, of the Johnson Corner Community, died Thursday, December 26, 2019, in Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, after a brief illness. She was a native of Peach County, as a child moved to Toombs County and has lived in Johnson Corner most of her life. She worked at Rose Bud Manufacturing in Vidalia and Cedar Crossing Manufacturing for many years. She was a member of Valley Life Worship Center in the Ohoopee Community. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Faye Crowe; a granddaughter, Amber Crowe; two great-grandchildren, Jed Cowart and baby Lily; parents, Eugene Sidney “Tink” Crews and Lula Mae Bloodworth Crews; and thirteen siblings.
Mrs. Crowe is survived by her husband of fifty-five years, Howell Crowe; three daughters, Debbie Crowe Smith of Santa Claus, Carolyn “CC” Crowe of Johnson Corner, and Brittney Crowe of Santa Claus; four sons, James Crowe and wife Judy, Buddy Crowe, Wendell Crowe and Dustin Crowe, all of Johnson Corner; one sister, Ruby Denmark of Macon; one brother, Ray Crews and wife Claire of Macon; ten grandchildren, Brett, Miranda, Ashley, Jordy, Sierra, Tammie Lynn, Jada, Josh, Kristina and Mark; sixteen great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Sunday, December 29th, at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Emmett Denmark officiating. Burial will follow in the Hardens Chapel Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
