Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Ogburn, age 86, of Austell, died Friday, September 4, 2020, after an extended illness. She grew up in several towns in southeast Georgia, was a graduate of Vidalia High School, and she has lived in Austell for the past fifty-five years. She was a licensed cosmetologist and owner/operator of Lib’s Beauty Shop. She was a member of the Mableton First Baptist Church.
Mrs. Ogburn is survived by her husband, Lloyd Ogburn of Austell; one son, Christopher Ogburn of Mableton; one daughter Lori Adamo and her husband Matt of Christiansburg, Virginia; four grandchildren, Joseph Dupree of Roanoke, Virginia; Callie Ivanov and her husband Vasiliy of Roanoke, Virginia Savannah Smith of Gainesville, Florida, and Ayden Ogburn of Goshen, Indiana; one great-granddaughter, Sloan Dupree of Roanoke, Virginia; three brothers, Clifford Smith and wife Pam of Vidalia, Jackie Smith and wife Sondra of Glennville, and David Smith of Glennville; three sisters, Betty Hanberry and husband Chester of Vidalia, Myrtle Griffin of Ellabell, and Dale Gilbert and husband Rick of Rincon; two brothers-in-law, four sisters-in-law, several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
A graveside funeral service will be held Sunday, September 6th, at 2:00 p.m. in the Pinecrest Cemetery.
