Mary (Adams) Johnson

Mrs. Mary L. Adams Johnson, age 69, of Glenwood, died Saturday, April 17, 2021, in Meadows Health in Vidalia after an extended illness.  She was a native of Ft. Pierce, Florida and lived there until moving to Glenwood in 2010.  She nursed at Lawnwood Medical Center in Ft. Pierce for many years.  She was passionate about her family, taking care of people, and the patients she served.  She was Baptist by faith.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Claude Thaddieus Johnson; grandson, Travis Laskowitz; parents, Newton Adams and Edna Louise Guy Adams; two sisters, Loretta Milton and Dorothy Jandreau; and three brothers, William “Billy” Adams, Ronald Adams, and Harry “Grizz” Adams.

Survivors include two daughters, Hope Laskowitz and husband Ron of East Dublin, Susan Johnson and husband James of Glenwood; one sister, Jerri Lombardi of Ft. Pierce, two grandchildren, Cheyenne S. Johnson and husband Chase, and Shane T. Johnson; one great-grandson, Collin River Strickland, all of Glenwood; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held later in Ft. Pierce.
