Mary (Barwick) Flowers

Mrs. Mary Barwick Flowers, age 59, of Vidalia, died Thursday, May 25, 2023, at Memorial Health Meadows Hospital in Vidalia after a sudden illness.  She was a native of Treutlen County and grew up in the Mt. Moriah Community in Toombs County.  She lived in the Vidalia area most of her life, was a homemaker and member of North Thompson Baptist Church.  She enjoyed fishing, traveling, going to the beach, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Ashton Rae Flowers; father, Willie Jerome Barwick; mother and stepfather, Martha Sue Wood Beck and Bryson Beck; and a brother, Randall Barwick.

Her family includes her husband of forty years, Glenn Flowers of Vidalia; six children, Jonathan Flowers and wife Jodi, Holly Worth and husband Daniel, Bridgett Flowers, and Joey Barwick, all of Vidalia, Mitchell Barwick and wife Autumn of Glenwood, and Tyler Kersey and wife Mayzie of Tattnall County; three brothers, Ronald Barwick and wife Patty of Swainsboro, Donald Barwick and wife Hope of Dublin, and Dale Barwick and wife Bernadine of the New Branch Community; five grandchildren, Lillie Worth, Lawson Worth, Jake Conner, Bailey Conner and Emberlyn Barwick; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday morning from 10:00 until 11:30.

The graveside funeral service will be Monday, May 29th, at 12:00 noon at Hughes Family Cemetery in the Hack Branch Community with Pastor Joe Phillips officiating.
