Margie Youmans Faircloth, age 73, of Lyons, died Sunday, November 24, 2024, at Memorial Health Meadows Hospital in Vidalia, following an extended illness. She was born May 13, 1951, in Aline, Georgia and lived in Toombs County the rest of her life. She worked at Toombs County Manufacturing in Lyons and Tumi/Savannah Luggage Works for many years. She attended Collins Chapel Primitive Baptist Church in Lyons. Margie enjoyed crossword puzzles, word search, watching TV, eating out, and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, George Lewis Faircloth, Sr.; an infant son, William Lewis Faircloth; father, Charles Youmans; mother, Eloise Wright Oliver; one brother, Russell Youmans; and two sisters, Shirlene Youmans Ansley and MaryAnn Youmans Thompson.
Her family includes three children, “Rooster” Faircloth and wife Lisa of the Kemp Community in Emanuel County, Mollie Faircloth Maddox and husband Tommy of Lyons, and Jamie Faircloth and fiancé Josh Feuerherm of Tully, New York; two brothers, C.M. Youmans and wife Frances, Wayne Youmans and wife Mary, all of Lyons; one sister, Teresa Youmans Lindsey and husband Mickey of Oak Park; eight grandchildren, Haleigh Cooper and husband Britt, Kelsey Parker, Roy Morris and Leighann Stuper, Emily Deloach and husband Brent, Hunter Faircloth, Vidalia Yablonski and husband Aaron, Wanda Underwood, and Gracie Sandroni, eight great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday afternoon, November 27th, 2024, from 1:00 until just prior to the funeral service at 3:00 with Reverend Trent Akins officiating. Burial will follow at Old Mt. Zion Cemetery near Lyons.
