Vidalia,
Mrs. Magdalene “Maggie” Taylor, age 87, of Vidalia, died Sunday, April 7, 2019, in Meadows Health, after an extended illness. She was a lifelong resident of Toombs County, a 1949 graduate of Vidalia High School, and retired from Oxford Industries after twenty-nine years. She was a member of Calvary on Aimwell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert D. Taylor; parents, Paul and Ruby Edenfield; a son-in-law, Ernest “Skeet” Carroll; and eight brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Taylor is survived by four children, Charles Taylor and wife Carline of Reidsville, Mary Carroll of Vidalia, Mike Taylor and wife Tami of Alabama, and Marsha Parkerson of Vidalia; two brothers, C.H. Edenfield and wife Wendy of Conway, Arkansas, Paul Jr. Edenfield and wife Gerri of St. Vincent, Arkansas; six grandchildren, Tony Taylor, Josh Taylor, Melissa Parkerson, Jessica Taylor, Amanda Powell, and Duncan Parkerson; four great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 9th at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Efton Green officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11:00 until just prior to the service.
