Mr. Lyman Stacy Adams, age 87, of Uvalda, died Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at his home, after an extended illness. He was a native Uvalda and lived there most of his life. He served seven years in the Army National Guard and retired after thirty-five years from the Georgia Department of Corrections. He is preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Ellis Adams, parents, Howard Stacy Adams and Louise Conner Adams; two brothers, Conner Adams and Bobbie “Leland” Adams; and one sister, Larue Adams Raymond.
His family includes two sons, Leland Adams and wife Helen, and Jeff Adams and wife Joanna, all of Uvalda; seven grandchildren, Wesley and wife Felicia, Amanda and husband “Tater”, Travis, Dallas and husband Dwight, Shelby and Blake, Lindy, and Austin; bonus granddaughter, Chasity; seven great-grandchildren, Ryleigh, Gavin, Braxton, Tegann, Maddix, Kendyl, and Aydan; one sister, Pricilla Adams Lindsey and husband Bobby of Blitchton; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be Friday morning, July 12th, at 11:00 at Conner Cemetery with Pastor Joe Phillips officiating.
