Lucille (Hutcheson) Seidel

Ms. Lucille H. Seidel, age 89, of Vidalia, died Friday, July 5, 2024, at The Oaks Bethany Home in Vidalia, after an extended illness. A native of Vidalia and living most of her life in Toombs County, she graduated from Lyons High School in 1953. She was the first cheerleader to attend all four years of high school. She owned Southeastern DUI School where she was a substance abuse counselor for many years. She was a member of the Red Hat Ladies and attended Lyons First United Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence Hutcheson and Levata Rowland Hutcheson; sisters, Uldine Sasser and Corine Higgs; two nieces, Judy Sharpton and Katrina Krupar; and a nephew, Tim Higgs.

Her family includes, her three sons, Lane Seidel and wife Suzanne of Tarrytown, Barry Seidel and wife Tina of Cabot, Arkansas, and Alan Seidel and wife Missy of Vero Beach, Florida; six grandchildren, Will Seidel, Tessa Seidel, Madison Martinez and husband CJ, Abigail Seidel, Kirsten Seidel and Kevin Woods; two nieces, Jean Conner and Cecilia Johnson and husband Bruce; three nephews; Jack Sasser Jr., Tommy Sasser and Dwayne Higgs; and several other relatives.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.

The graveside funeral service will be Friday morning, July 12th, at 9:00 at Pine Crest Cemetery with Reverend David Barrett officiating.
