Lois (Fender) Henderson

Mrs. Lois F. Henderson, age 71, of Hahira in Cook County, died Friday, July 10, 2026, at Colquitt Regional Health System in Moultrie following an extended illness. She was born in Lakeland, Georgia, and lived there until she married her late husband in 1968. She was a supportive pastor’s wife, as he pastored many churches, including living and pastoring in Nashville, Georgia, for many years. They moved to Lyons where he pastored Edmond Chapel Church of God in the Johnson Corner Community for nine years where she was a member. Currently, Mrs. Henderson is a member of the Vidalia Church of God. She enjoyed cooking, watching The Young & the Restless, spending time with her family, and wanted the very best for her granddaughters.  

She is preceded in death by her husband of forty-four years, Reverend F.M. Henderson in 2012; parents, Wilburn Martin Fender and Idar Bell Browning Fender; three sisters, Geneva Fender Bennett, Jean Fender Morrell, and Shirley Ann Fender Powers; and two brothers, Bobby Joe Fender and W.M. Fender.

Mrs. Henderson is survived by one daughter, Terri Lynn Henderson Moore and husband John “Pee Wee” of Hahira; two granddaughters, Jordan Marie Mosley of Valdosta, and Jada Lynn Mosley Williamson and husband Michael of Baxley; two great-granddaughters, Mia Rayne Daniels and Seinna Williamson; one sister, Louise Fender Ross of Norman Park, Georgia; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held on Monday afternoon, July 13th, 2026, at 3:00 at Edmond Chapel Church of God with Reverend Steve Hardeman officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Pastor Nathan Pittman.

The family will receive friends at Edmond Chapel Church of God on Monday from 1:00 until just prior to the service.
