Mrs. Linda Williams Sharpe, 79, of Vidalia, died Tuesday, January 19, 2021, at Meadows Health after a brief illness. She was a native of Cobbtown, and was a 1959 graduate of Collins High School. She was a graduate of Bolen-Draughn Business College in Savannah and then began her working career at Department of Transportation, later Piggly Wiggly Southern, and Toombs Probation Office where she retired. She was a member of the Vidalia Church of God and she enjoyed reading, going to the beach, and spending time with her family, especially her granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow Williams and Roxie Collins Williams; her brother, Wade Williams; an infant son, Stephen Elton Sharpe.
Mrs. Williams is survived by her husband of fifty-one years, Elton Sharpe; two children Susan Horne and Mike Mobley, and Darrell Sharpe and wife Christy, all of Vidalia; and two grandchildren, Kayla Horne and Sarah Kate Sharpe.
The graveside funeral service is Saturday, January 23, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Sharpe Cemetery near Alston, with Pastor Nathan Pittman officiating.
