Mrs. Leslie Michelle Seabury, age 61, of Mt. Vernon, died Saturday, March 7, 2026, at her home, but gained victory in Christ. She was a native of Chattanooga, Tennessee, and lived in Alston for many years. She was a graduate of Brewton-Parker College and earned a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. She was a special education teacher and taught at J.R. Trippe for several years. She enjoyed homesteading, reading, and teaching and studying her Bible.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Marvin Woody Porter and Linda Ruth Rogers Porter.
Mrs. Seabury is survived by her husband of forty-two years, K.C. Seabury of Mt. Vernon; three sons, Bryan Seabury and Blair Wilson of Statesboro, Luke Seabury and wife Amber of Chapel Hill, Tennessee, and Ben Seabury and wife Tori of Richmond Hill; one brother, Eric Porter and wife Monica; five grandchildren, Eli and Charlie Seabury, and Noah, Elsie and Annie Seabury; one niece, Krissy Douglas and husband David of Chattanooga; one nephew, Wesley Porter and wife Christina of Alabama.
Per her request, a private family service will be held soon.
