Mr. Larry D. Webb, Sr., age 58, of Vidalia, died Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at Memorial Health Meadows Hospital in Vidalia, after a sudden illness. He was born in Denton, North Carolina, grew up in Jacksonville, Florida and Fernandina Beach, Florida before moving to Lyons in 1980. He attended Lyons Senior High School. He was a truck driver for more than twenty years, working with Speedway Transport and Claxton Poultry, and was owner/operator of D&L Saw Shop in Reidsville. Larry enjoyed camping, fishing, building train sets, bee keeping, cooking, grilling, and hatching and raising chickens. He is preceded in death by a son, Larry Dale Webb, Jr.; parents, Harry Lee Webb and Betty Sue Harmon Webb; three sisters, Jeanette Webb Conley, Bobbie Jean Webb, and Kathy Webb Boone; three brothers, Eugene Webb, Toby Webb, and Paul Marshall; and nieces, Monica Webb and Dorothy Richardson
His family includes his wife of thirty-four years, Susie Webb; two daughters, Kayla Webb Hatfield and husband Mitchell, and Connie Webb Mendoza and husband Filimon; one son, Andy Webb, all of Vidalia; one sister, Angie Marshall Roberson and husband Daryl of Midland, Virginia; four brothers, Calvin Webb of Jacksonville, Marvin Webb and wife Cheryl, and Paul Webb, all of Lake City, Florida, and Terry Webb of Lyons; five grandchildren, Jordan, Adrian, Lucy, Aubrey, and Pablo; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday morning from 9:30 until 11:30.
A graveside memorial service will be Monday afternoon, December 23rd, 2024, at 2:00 at Little Flock Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Mike Poppell officiating.
