Larry Johnson

Mr. Larry C. Johnson, age 73, of Vidalia, died Monday, October 5, 2020, in Memorial Hospital in Savannah after a brief illness.  He was born in Treutlen County and has lived in Vidalia most of his life.  He was the owner of the former L&S Auto in Vidalia and worked many years with Horton’s Auto Service.  He was Baptist by faith, an avid bowler, was a member of a local bowling league in Vidalia, and he enjoyed turkey shoots and fishing.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Benjamin Johnson and Nannie Lou Ricks Johnson.

Mr. Johnson is survived by eleven brothers and sisters, Betty King of Vidalia, JoAnn Toole and husband Wilton of Johnson Corner, Johnny Johnson and wife Linda of Lyons, Sara Nell Whitaker and husband Bob of Vidalia, Peggy Tomlin of Brunswick, Benny Johnson and wife Wanda of Lyons, Lillian Barefoot and husband Drake of Salem, Alabama, Margie Beasley and husband Craig of Cedar Crossing, Robin Johnson and wife Michelle, Karen Kilgore and husband David of South Thompson, and Teresa Taylor and husband Toby of Alma; a special niece, Joann Clements, as well as other numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 7th, at 4:00 p.m. in the Blockers Chapel Cemetery with Pastor Albert White officiating.
