Mr. Larry Dale Clark, age 64, of Lyons, died Saturday, August 9, 2025, at his home after an extended illness. He was a native of Toombs County and lived there and Candler County all of his life. He was a 1978 graduate of Lyons Senior High School. He was a floor covering installer and worked many years with his brothers. While living in Metter, he worked with Candler County schools in the lunchroom and maintenance. He attended South Thompson Baptist Church and Ohoopee Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, dirt bikes, motorcycles, cooking, and grilling. He is preceded in death by his wife, Rose Miller Clark; parents, A.D. and Alla Lee Clark; and sister, Patricia Clark Freeman.
He is survived by one son, Jonathon E. Clark of Santa Claus; three grandchildren, Jacob Miller, Gradey Tyer, and D.J. Rogers; eight siblings, James Clark of Vidalia, Jimmy Clark of Glennville, Billy Clark of Lyons, Deloris Clark Brooks of South Thompson, Marsha Clark Teston and husband Donald of Dublin, Clara Clark Brooks of South Thompson, Sharon Clark NeeSmith of Savannah, and “Bo” Clark of Vidalia; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday afternoon, August 16th, 2025, at 2:00 at United Fellowship Baptist Church in Oak Park with Pastor Larry Perkins officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to United Fellowship Baptist Church Youth Fund, 114 NE Railroad Ave., Lyons, GA 30436.
