Mr. Kip Hall, age 56, of Lyons, died Monday, July 19, 2021, at his home after a sudden illness. He was a lifelong resident of Toombs County, living in Lyons all of his life. He was a 1984 graduate of Lyons Senior High School and retired after thirty years from Georgia State Prison in Reidsville and Montgomery State Prison in Mt. Vernon. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Lyons and was a fan of Toombs County football and Georgia football. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, but more importantly, he enjoyed spending time with his grandbabies. He is preceded in death by his father, Clyde Hall.
He is survived by two children, Bayleigh Hall Goff and Dustin Hall, both of Statesboro; his mother, Pauline Monroe Hall; one brother, Alan Hall, both of Lyons; four grandchildren, Brantley, Hudson, Canaan and Marlin, all of Statesboro; one aunt; and one nephew.
A graveside funeral service will be Saturday, July 24th, at 3:00 p.m. at Lyons City Cemetery with Pastor Dannie Williams officiating.
The family will receive friends at the cemetery on Saturday from 2:00 p.m. until just prior to the service.
