Kimberly A. Hutcheson

Kimberly A. Hutcheson, age 54, of Vidalia, died Thursday, July 24, 2025, at her home.  She was a native of Toombs County and lived in Vidalia most of her life. She was a 1989 graduate of Vidalia High School. She earned an Associate in Criminal Justice and a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Brewton-Parker College.  She worked for the Department of Family and Children’s Services in Lyons, a psychology teacher at Southeastern Technical College, a librarian for Montgomery State Prison in Mt. Vernon, and a paralegal for Francis Stubbs and Tommy J. Smith. Kim enjoyed plants, shopping, reading, thrifting, antiques, classic movies, documentaries, her makeup and jewelry, getting her hair fixed, poetry, cookbooks, and cooking for her family. She is preceded in death by her mother, Billie Briggs Hyde.

Her family includes two children Rhett Cooper and wife Lindsey and Jazlyn Willis and husband DeVante, all of Lyons; four grandchildren, Hayden, Leaf, Jacie, and Addyson; father, Greg Hutcheson and wife Sharon of Baxley; four siblings, Shannon Renteria of Vidalia, Roni Hyde of Blue Ridge, Georgia, Casey Hutcheson and Tyler Hutcheson, both of Statesboro; former stepmother, Karen Hutcheson of Vidalia; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 30th, 2025, at 3:00 in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Bishop Gilbert Wommack officiating.  Burial will follow at a later date at Williamson Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday afternoon from 1:00 until just prior to the service.
