Kenneth Powell

Mr. Kenneth Powell, age 72, of Lyons, died Sunday, September 8, 2024, at Augusta University Medical Center in Augusta after an extended illness. He was a native of Toombs County living most of his life in Toombs County. He was employed with Partin Park in Lyons as a custodian. Kenneth attended Lyons Holiness Church and in his spare time he enjoyed playing checkers and fishing. He especially loved spending time with his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife of ten years, Myrtice Holley Powell; parents, Togo Powell and Pearlie Lee Woods Powell; brother, A. W. Wilkes; and a sister, Jessie Robertson.

His family includes his step-son, Randall Shane Holley of Iowa; a brother, Olin Powell of Waverly Hall, Georgia; a sister, Elizabeth Redd of North Augusta, South Carolina; two grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

The family will receive friends on Friday afternoon, September 13th at Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home from 1:00 until just prior to the service.

The funeral service will be held Friday afternoon, September 13th in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home at 2:00. Burial will follow in Rocky Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
