Kendall Morris

Merritt Island, Florida

Mr. Kendall Morris, age 80, of Merritt Island, Florida, passed away Monday, January 28, 2019, after a lengthy illness.  He was a native of Toombs County, and was a 1956 graduate of Lyons High School.  Following graduation and military service, he was employed by Western Electric Company.  In 1964, he and Alice Youmans married, and moved to Merritt Island in 1966 where they made their home.  Kendall was a small business owner until health issues forced his retirement in 2017.  Living on the water, Kendall enjoyed all types of water sports; however, more than anything else he enjoyed time spent with their children and grandchildren. 

Kendall is survived by his wife of fifty-four years, Alice Youmans Morris; one son, Greg Morris and wife Wendy; one daughter, Valerie Westmoreland and husband Andy; two grandsons Trey and Kendall Cadle; and two granddaughters, Jasmine and Holly Morris, all of Merritt Island; and one sister, Janice Johnston of Vidalia.

The graveside funeral service will be held Saturday, February 2nd at 3:00 p.m. in the Lyons City Cemetery with Pastor Glenn Russell officiating.
