Kaye (Chester) Goff

Mrs. Kaye Chester Goff, age 65, of Uvalda, died Saturday, November 20, 2021, at her home after a sudden illness.  She was a native of Candler County and was a 1974 graduate of Metter High School.  Later she moved to Vidalia and has lived in Montgomery County for many years.  She worked at Oxford Industries for twenty-five years as a quality control specialist and for the past twenty-four years was a teller for Altamaha Bank & Trust in Uvalda.  She was a member of the Smyrna United Methodist Church; and she enjoyed reading, crocheting, fishing, and spending time with her family.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Buddie Chester and Helen Virginia Gordon Chester; and six siblings, Patricia Chester, Mary Frances Young, Dorothy Faye Johnson, Willie Thomas Chester, Robert Louis Chester, and Donald Hardy Chester, Sr.

Her family includes her husband of forty-five years, Jerry L. Goff of Uvalda; three sisters, Gail Chester Russell and husband Nate of Louisville, Kentucky, Brenda Chester Kersey, and Karen Chester, both of Statesboro; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be Wednesday, November 24th, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Reece Mincey officiating.  Burial will follow in the Primitive Grove Baptist Church Cemetery near Metter.

The family will receive at the funeral home on Wednesday from noon until just prior to the service.
