June (Monroe) Collins

Mrs. June Monroe Collins, age 88, surrounded by her family, passed away to her heavenly home on September 17, 2022, after a brief illness.  She was a lifetime resident of the Blue Ridge Community.  She was the daughter of Gordon Monroe and Ruby Lewis Monroe.

Her passion was the farm, which mainly consisted of her cows, her chickens, and her garden.  She loved being outdoors and remained active up until about two months ago.  Her children and grandchildren could not catch her sitting at home.  She was a faithful member of the Lower Corinth Free Will Baptist Church, and was at church every time the doors were opened.  She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-two years, Albert Jarahn Collins, Sr.; grandson Albert Jared Collins; and brother, Doyce P. Monroe.

She is survived by four children, Kathy June Collins Milligan and husband Harold, Kerry Jarahn Collins and wife Nellwyn, Carol Elaine Collins Simmons, and Albert Jarahn Collins, Jr. and wife Kim; grandchildren, Lee Milligan and wife Ashley, Ryan Collins and wife Jennifer, Jon Milligan, Rahn Milligan and wife Whitney, Brooke Butler, and Kayla Dyal and husband Jake; great-grandchildren, Raegan Collins, Olin Jarahn Collins, Whitley Butler, Luke Summers, Lane Summers, Sierra Milligan, Colin Milligan, Emmalee Milligan, Jasper Dyal, Jacus Dyal, William Jarahn Milligan and Olivia June Milligan.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 20th at 3:00 p.m. at the Lower Corinth Free Will Baptist Church with Reverend Tim Brantley officiating.  Burial will follow at Old Reedy Cemetery in Blue Ridge.

The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 until just prior to the service.
