Mrs. Julia Heath Spivey, age 89, of Vidalia, died Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at Treutlen Health & Rehab in Soperton, following an extended illness. She was a native of Treutlen County and was a 1954 graduate of Treutlen County High School. She was a homemaker and nursed at Treutlen County Hospital for twenty-five years. She attended Calvary on Aimwell in Vidalia. She enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves, playing Bingo, cooking and baking for family and friends, going to the mountains and to gospel sings. She is preceded in death her husband Howard Spivey in 2016; parents, George Mathis Heath and Alean Scott Heath; two sisters, Nancy Heath Screws and Nora Mae Heath Morrison; and three brothers, Joe Heath, J.B. Heath, and Tommy Heath.
Her family includes one sister, Geraldine Heath Horne of Adrian; one sister-in-law, Barbara Heath of Soperton; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
A graveside funeral service will be Thursday morning, October 31st, at 11:00 at Lakeview Memorial Gardens with Pastor Efton Green officiating.
