Mr. Joseph E. “Gene” Wiggins, age 73, of Lyons, died Thursday, March 21, 2019, in Reidsville, after an extended illness.  He was a lifelong resident of Lyons, and was in retail most of his life, managing TG&Y, Gibson’s and Wal-Mart.   He was a member of the Cobb Creek Baptist Church, and was preceded in death by parents, George T/ Wiggins, Sr. and Flonnie Mae Oats Wiggins; and five brothers, Jack Wiggins, George T. Wiggins, Jr., Paul Wiggins, Henry David Wiggins and Pat Wiggins.

Mr. Wiggins is survived by one step-son, Don Yeomans of Lyons; one sister, Helen Wiggins Hamilton and husband Jack of Lyons; one brother, Jimmy Wiggins of St. Augustine, Florida; three step-grandchildren, Chazz Yeomans, Samantha Yeomans and Triniti Yeomans and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, March 26th at 2:00 p.m. in the Cobb Creek Baptist Church with Pastor Russell Wooten officiating.
