Mr. Jose Antonio Camarena, age 59, of Vidalia, Georgia, died Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at Memorial Health in Savannah. He was born in Michoacan, Mexico on June 30, 1965, to Gamaliel Camarena Chavez and Irma Chavez Camarena. He moved to California in 1985 before moving to Vidalia in 1995. He worked with RCF Technology for thirty-nine years and was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses in Vidalia. He enjoyed gardening, cooking, and crossword puzzles.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by ten children, Chris Camarena of Oklahoma, Mark Kirkland and husband Tyler of North Carolina, Joseph Camarena of Vidalia, Sam Parra and wife Heaven of Oklahoma, Stephany Hughes and husband Jonah of Nebraska, Kayleigh Hilson of Rincon, Marissa Hummel of Florida, Miles Hummel, Aiden Hummel, and Isabella Hummel, all of Milledgeville; eight siblings, Patricia Camarena, Juan Camarena and wife Maria, Francisco Camarena, Maggie Camarena and husband Carlos, Rosa-Maria Camarena, Angeles Camarena and husband Caesar, Cruz Elena Camarena, and Irma Camarena; eleven grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held later.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, 2000 McIntosh St., Vidalia, GA 30474.
