Mr. Jordan Thomas Byrd, age 26, of Mt. Vernon, died Thursday, June 4, 2020, at Meadows Health in Vidalia, after a sudden illness. He was a lifelong resident of Montgomery County, and was a 2011 graduate of Vidalia Comprehensive High School where he played on the golf team. He was owner/operator of T-Byrd Vending in Mt. Vernon and was a member of Glenwood First Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing and woodworking. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Ellis “Teb” Byrd, paternal grandmother, Helen Virginia Byrd.
Jordan is survived by his mother, Angela Fulford Fountain and husband Harry of Mt. Vernon; one sister Alexis Byrd Fountain and husband Justin of Tarrytown; maternal grandparents, Tony Fulford and Frances McDonald Fulford of Glenwood; paternal grandfather, Tommy Byrd of Mt. Vernon; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
The graveside funeral service will be held Saturday, June 6, at 4:00 p.m. at Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery with Pastor Nolan McDaniel officiating.
