Mr. John Alfred Quigley, Jr., age 74, of Vidalia, died Sunday, December 4, 2022, at his home after an extended illness. He was a native of Billerica, Massachusetts. He lived in Milford, New Hampshire, Lowell, Massachusetts, and Sarasota, Florida before moving to Vidalia in the early 1980s, where he worked with the former Glenn’s Texaco for many years and had many business ventures. He previously worked as an inspector for North Shore Pipelines for many years. He enjoyed metal detecting, singing and fixing cars. He is preceded in death by his wife of fifty-two years, Ann Marie Walker Quigley; parents, John Alfred Quigley, Sr. and Mary Perkins Quigley; one sister, Joann Quigley; and one brother, Rick Quigley.
His family includes four children, Sue Quigley Waters and husband Guy of Twin City, Donyeal Quigley Digirolamo and husband Sam of North Carolina, John Quigley III and wife Kristina and Mark Quigley and wife Linda, all of Vidalia; brother, Steve Quigley and wife Kathy of Florence, Massachusetts; sister, Sharon of North Carolina; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The graveside funeral service will be Thursday morning, December 8th, at 11:00 at Pine Crest Cemetery with Pastor Efton Green officiating.
