Joel Wayne Ward

Mr. Joel Wayne Ward, age 67, of Vidalia, died March 16, 2021, at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, after a brief illness.  He was a native of Vidalia, and lived in Vidalia most of his life.  He was a contractor by trade and was the owner of Ward’s Home Improvement.  He was a graduate of Vidalia High School and was Baptist by faith. Joel is preceded in death by his parents, William Homer Ward and Hilda Mae Edge Ward.

Survivors include his wife of forty years, Charmaine Brice Ward; one daughter, Lindsey Ward; one grandson, Hayden Ward; one son, Jason Ward, of South Carolina; two brothers, Johnny Ward and wife Danis, and Harris Ward; one sister, Jan Frost, all of Vidalia; and several nieces and nephews.

A visitation and Celebration of Life Service was held at the funeral home on Friday morning, March 19th, at 9:30, with Maggie Brice Snell officiating.
